45 Dogs All In a Row – Amazing

dogwalker-1

Only in New York!

My friend was in Central Park last weekend and came across a group of 45 dogs – all laying down, in a row.   What’s even more amazing is that they were taking a break while their 3 dogwalkers had them out for a stroll.   And they were all pleasantly getting along!

Well, as a dog myself, I can tell you that it’s not always easy being pals with some of the dogs I meet.  Some of them are pretty darn aggressive.   And, of course, we all like to be the Alpha dog.   So, if you get to New York anytime soon, I guess you’ll find a friendlier breed of dog there.  Maybe they have to be friendly or it’s so long Fido!

Bo Makes His First Appearance at the White House as Top Dog

bo-the-dog2

Sasha and Malia must be so Happy!  They now have their promised dog and the White House will now be a much more fun place to be.   I haven’t met any Portugese Waterdogs myself but I hear they are pretty happy around humans.   Hey, maybe I will get an invite to the White House by Bo, himself, once he gets the run of the place.

Yeah, and I hear that the Prez won’t let Bo sleep in the main bed … we’ll see how that goes, so stay tuned.   But Doggietown is happy to hear about Bo and his nice new family.  Biscuits to you buddy!

Let us know what you think about Bo, will ya?

Benji’s Bed & Breakfast – 5 Star Dog Hotel

doggie-spa2

Okay … our masters go to fun places,  so why can’t we?  I found a perfect place for vacation for us all.   It’s down in South Carolina, called Benji”s Bed & Breakfast.  Nice and warm down there and look at this great water hole?  Heaven!

How did I find this?  Well, as you know, when my master, Mik, is outside or away I quickly try to get my computer time, otherwise Mik is always hogging the computer.  I see him looking for fun places to go, so I’ve started searching for myself.  There are so many places … we can go to Dog Spas or really great Doggie Daycare places.  But I’m sort of partial to this little place down South.   Like I said … it’s called  Benji”s Bed & Breakfast

Biscuits to ya, Buddies!

What Dog Wouldn’t Want This Fun ‘Jet-Setting’ Bed ?

jet-airplane-bed

Missed me?  Well, you should have.  I haven’t exactly been Mr. Techie lately.  Had to go to Virginia with Mik and entertain the boys down there.  But now I’m back for a while.

I do have something cool to share with you and it’s something my little buddie Mitzi will really want.  It’s a bed like no others … A Jumbo Jet plush bed.  Now, how cool is that?  I’m savin up my dog biscuits and gonna trade them in for this bed for Mitzi.   If I was a bit smaller I’d get it for myself.

You really should check out the site I found this bed on … it’s from Trixie + Peanut and they have some fun and different pet products.   Trixie + Peanut

The Lucky Dog Radio Show

dogradioshow2

Who knew?  I just came across this fun radio show all about us dogs!  They talk about all sorts of things like dog birthday parties, dog etiquette and more.

This show is broadcast on Wednesday evenings … at 10 pm Eastern time, earlier for other time zones.  I can already tell, this will be one of my favorite shows.  It says interviews … do you think they mean they interview dogs??

Check out the Lucky Dog Radio show.  Let me know what you think.

7 Days with 7 Dogs – a Dog-umentary

Mik got a movie recently from an Australian production company, Laughing Owl Productions.  The name of the movie/DVD is titled “7 Days with 7 Dogs“.   We just finished watching it and I must say . . . I was impressed.

7-days-with-7-dogs

At first, I was just lying on the floor by Mik’s feet … I mean, what did I care about 7 other dogs running around in Australia?  But then my ears perked up a bit when I heard that these were all Rescue Dogs.  And many of them were pretty old but they seemed to be having a really great time.  We were all shocked when the family took off with all 7 dogs to go on Holiday.   We call it vacation here, but Holiday sounds like a lot more fun!

It was an entertaining dog-umentary and we would certainly recommend it, especially if you are interested in seeing the wonderful life these people provided for a crew of Rescue dogs.  And the scenery and music was well worth the watch.   For more information about this movie and others filmed by Laughing Owl Productions, go to www.laughingowl.com.au

We are giving away 1 DVD copy of “7 Days for 7 Dogs”.  Please leave a comment here and one random winner will be chosen from the comments.  Giveaway will end February 12, 2009.

List of Foods to Avoid Giving to Any Dog

Okay, okay, I saw the list …  so now I see that I should stop begging for all the Human food!   I had no idea that so many foods could cause me so many problemos. . .  or even kill me!

This great list can be found on the Pet Education site, a site with info from Vets.  So, okay, I guess I’ll believe it!  No more fat trimmings for me … don’t want pancreatitis.  Better pass this on to my buddies and print a list for Mik.  I know he hasn’t read about some of these foods.

Accidents do happen … even to us Dogs … I should know.  Just last week I stepped on a piece of glass that was in the grass and was I happy that Mik had this nifty First Aid Kit close by.  I mean, my paw was bleeding so bad, I thought I was going to pass out!  But Mik whipped out some antiseptic cleaner and took care of it pronto.

  • Rescue Dogs at Hearts United Animal Sanctuary

While I was looking around on the internet while Mik was outside this morning, I came across this place that all Dogs and people should know about.  It’s called Hearts United for Animals and they take in animals … lots of dogs … that were abandoned or mistreated.   What a wonderful place this is.  There are NO cages, just big fields of grass to run around and play.  Hey, that sounds pretty good to me.

My Doggie Pal Snuck into ‘Hotel for Dogs’ Movie

My girlfriend KiKi’s family snuck her into see “Hotel for Dogs” yesterday.  They have a cute little dog carrier that looks like a purse.  So KiKi got to see the movie.  I hate to say it but she loved it … it sounded like a chick flick to me!  Actually, I think she liked the Jack Russell named Friday the best.  But, all in all, she said she loved the movie and it was a perfect Family movie.  So, I guess most kids will love it.
